The South Dallas Cultural Center is where young African Americans learn about their culture, and a community resource for life. The South Dallas Cultural Center teaches the fundamental courses on how African-Americans came to the United States through the summer camp program.

Students also learn how to grow into intellectual and successful adults.
This year in our summer camp we are studying Haiti and African-gateways. Through our creative writing workshop we are documenting our experience and creating an online magazine. In addition, we are creating photo-blogs with creative-writing to document are visual take on the Haitian Culture.

There are more things that you can learn at the South Dallas Cultural Center including drumming, voice-video recording, cooking, fashion, photography, dancing and multi-media.
